These Fifth Third River Bank Run events require no pre-registration. Free and open to the public. Refreshments and register to win opportunities provided!

Tuesday, 2/14 (6:30-7:30p) -- Speed Workout from the Spartan Stores YMCA (5722 Metro Way, Wyoming). Led by Road Warrior coach and veteran 25K participant Mike Dopke, you'll find out first-hand why regular speed workouts can help you accomplish your race day goals!  Runners of every level welcome.  Store your gear at the YMCA and be prepared to go outside for the Speed Workout.

Wednesday, 2/22 (5:30-6:30p) -- Injury Prevention Training Clinic at the Metro Health Sports Medicine clinic within the Spartan Stores YMCA (5722 Metro Way, Wyoming). Join the experienced staff of Metro Health Sports Medicine for this not-to-miss clinic!  Refreshments and register to win opportunities available.  Find out how to avoid common running-related injuries, how to differentiate between sore muscles and a potential injury, and treatments for common running/walking-related injuries.  Plus, come early (5-5:30p) or plan to stay later (6:30-7p) to take advantage of complimentary five minute table massages by Metro Health massage therapists, one of the new lines of service for the organization.

Looking for more than a five minute massage? Services are offered in the Metro Health Sports Medicine suite at their new location in the Spartan Stores YMCA. Both male and female therapists are available for half-hour or full-hour massages. Scheduling is made easy by visiting www.metrohealth.net, and clicking on the Sports Medicine link under Medical Services. Then click on the button that says Book a Massage. It's that easy!

Saturday, 2/25 (9a) -- 10K/5K Training Run/Walk from Fifth Third Bank-Holland (36 E. 8th Street, 49423). Join others training for the Fifth Third River Bank Run 10K Run, 5K Run or 5K Walk, as well as those engaged in the 10,000 Steps Challenge, for coach-led, aid station-assisted 1.5 mile and 3 mile runs and walks through downtown Holland!  Meet back at the Banking Center following your effort for refreshments, register-to-win opportunities and networking.  Still need to register for your Fifth Third River Bank Run event?  Save $3.50 on the 25K, 10K, 5K Run and 5K Walk at Fifth Third Bank-Holland on Thursday, 2/23 from 11:30a-1:30p or Saturday, 2/25 after the training run/walk.

Saturday, 3/3 (7:20-7:50a) -- Apparel and GU Training Clinic at the David D. Hunting YMCA (475 Lake Michigan Dr., Grand Rapids 49503). Check out all your best options for apparel from BROOKS and Gazelle Sports as we move away from winter and into spring training!  Plus, learn how best to incorporate GU into your training for a successful race day.  Flavor samples available!

Saturday, 3/3 (8a) -- Training Run at the David D. Hunting YMCA (475 Lake Michigan Dr., Grand Rapids 49503). Join others in training for their Fifth Third River Bank Run event at this free training run (various distances available based on 25K, 10K and 5K Run training) led by coaches from Gazelle Sports.  We'll meet at the YMCA for directions, maps and pre-race water before hitting the streets to train (water and Gatorade provided at aid stations on routes).  Then, return to the YMCA to enjoy refreshments along with networking with event staff, Metro Health Sports Medicine and some of the 2012 Charity Partners.  No pre-registration required.

Wednesday, May 2 (5:30-6:45p) -- Race Day 101 Training Clinic featuring an Interactive Panel Discussion at Gazelle Sports-Grand Rapids (3930 28th Street SE, 49512) and Gazelle Sports-Holland (24 W. 8th Street). Find out everything you need to know for smooth sailing during Race Weekend 2012 from vetern runners and industry professionals from Gazelle Sports, BROOKS, Metro Health Sports Medicine and the Fifth Third River Bank Run Road Warriors.  The event will also feature light refreshments, register-to-win opportunities and networking with others training for Saturday, May 12.
