GAZELLE SPORTS FIFTH THIRD RIVER BANK RUN RUN CAMP. GRAND RAPIDS RUNNING CLUB MENTORING PROGRAM. Beginning the first Saturday in January, the Grand Rapids Running Club invites runners (of any ability) who are training for the Fifth Third River Bank Run 25K to join them for training every Saturday morning leading up to race day on Saturday, May 12, 2012!  The Running Club's "Mentor Group" meets Saturdays at John Ball Park at 8:00 am (rain, snow or shine!) in the middle parking lot, south of the duck pond.  You will train with dedicated and experienced runners from the Grand Rapids Running Club who will be happy to answer your training questions and will provide you with inspiration and motivation to help you reach your goal!  The Mentor Program is offered free of charge.  For more information, please go to the Grand Rapids Running Club's website or contact Francine Robinson via email.

RUNGR. If you have some running experience but you're looking to better your pr --  maybe the accountability of training with a group or someone to coach you through those longer training runs - RunGR.com is a great training club! This year they will be offering training for the Fifth Third River Bank Run 25K, 10K and 5K Run. Each group will be tailored to help you achieve your running goals, whether it's a personal record or finishing the race for the first time.  Included in the membership is a tech shirt, coaching, training schedules, 3 aided group runs most weeks, clinics, and a 10% discount on running  items at Gazelle Sports. DAVID D. HUNTING YMCA. The downtown Grand Rapids location of the YMCA is offering two running groups -- one for beginning runners and the other for more advanced runners -- open to both YMCA members ($90) and nonmembers ($180).  The "Running Traiing Class" is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30a-6:30a or 6-7p and runs from January 10 through Bevruary 23.  The groups train inside and outside the YMCA, concentrating on speed work, strength training and cross-training activities for runners.  Interested in finding out more?  Email Courtney Dolan, David D.
