The Fifth Third River Bank Run and partners Craig’s Cruisers, Ice Mountain, Priority Health,RX Optical and WOTV4 are offering the FREE Feelin’ Good Mileage Club to 50,000 elementary students at schools in Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, Kent, Muskegon, Ottawa and Van Buren counties in the spring from March 19 to May 9 and in the fall from September 17 to October 25.
This free, effective, incentive-based fitness program will get kids moving! Students in grades K-6 will GET HEALTHIER while having FUN! Your school will receive colored shoelaces, backpack chains, toe-shaped charms and other incentives from sponsors who want to motivate kids toward more activity -- while school is in session and when it is out!
Plus, each student who runs, jogs or walks five or more miles during the club will receive a FREE ENTRY into Fifth Third Junior on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Roger's High School in Wyoming (nearly 1,900 kids participated) or Fifth Third Junior on Thursday, October 25 at in Kalamazoo (location TBD). Siblings and friends can run too!

On Saturday, May 12, 2012, join thousands of other runners, walkers and rollers in making history. The Fifth Third River Bank Run will celebrate 35 years with a spectacular celebration for participants, volunteers, sponsors and the community. The 35th edition of the event will involve over 21,000 in the largest 25K race in the country, 10K, 5K Run, 5K Walk and Junior events. Don't miss out. Online registration is now open. Training will begin in November.
