These Fifth Third River Bank Run events require no pre-registration. Free and open to the public. Refreshments provided.

 

Thursday, January 8 -- TRAINING KICKOFF PARTY -- 5:00-7:00 pm, Craig's Cruisers (5730 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming) Enjoy a mini-Sports & Fitness Expo, training clinics, free pizza and beverages, and save $3 on the 25K entry fee. The first 100 people to register for the 25K at Craig's Cruisers will receive a commemorative Fifth Third River Bank Run training shirt.

Friday, January 9 -- TRAINING KICKOFF PARTY -- 5:00-7:00 pm, Gazelle Sports-Holland (24 West 8th Street, Holland) Enjoy free pizza and beverages, and save $3 on the 25K entry fee. The first 100 people to register for the 25K at Gazelle Sports-Holland will receive a commemorative Fifth Third River Bank Run training shirt.

Thursday, January 29 -- BROOKS FIRST-TIMERS CLINIC -- 7:00-8:30 pm, Gazelle Sports-Grand Rapids (3930 28th Street SE)  If you are training for the Fifth Third River Bank Run 25K, 10K or 5K for the first time, the staff at Brooks Running and Gazelle Sports know you may have some questions.  Why would you want to try and swallow GU while running?  Should you run in your old soccer cleats on icy streets or is there an alternative?   How will event staff support your quest for the finish line on May 9?  Enjoy an interactive discussion with road race veterans and running industry specialists.  This clinic will be a step in the right direction for anyone new to the sport.

Saturday, Feburary 7 -- TRAINING RUN/CLINIC -- 8:00 am, Community Room, David D. Hunting Branch, YMCA (475 Lake Michigan Drive)  Training runs (several distances available) with Gazelle Sports and runGazelle.com followed by networking opportunities with staff from Advanced Foot & Ankle and Metro Health Sports Medicine.

Thursday, February 19 -- FOR WOMEN ONLY CLINIC --  7:00-8:30 pm, Gazelle Sports-Grand Rapids (3930 28th Street SE) This "For Women Only" training event will feature a panel discussion with local female runners and industry professionals concerning issues specific to women training for and participating in road races. Brookes, CW-X and Gazelle Sports staff will be available for complimentary sports bra fittings.

Saturday, March 7  -- TRAINING RUN/CLINIC -- 8:00 am, Community Room, David D. Hunting Branch, YMCA (475 Lake Michigan Drive) Training runs (several distances available) with Gazelle Sports and runGazelle.com, and networking with staff from Advanced Foot & Ankle and Metro Health Sports Medicine.

Saturday, April 4 -- TRAINING RUN/CLINIC -- 8:00 am, Community Room, David D. Hunting Branch, YMCA (475 Lake Michigan Drive) Training runs (several distances available) with Gazelle Sports and runGazelle.com, followed by a short Race Day 101 presentation with 7-time 25K winner Greg Meyer, Metro Health Sports Medicine and Advanced Foot & Ankle.

Saturday, May 2 -- TRAINING RUN/CLINIC -- 8:00 am, Community Room, David D. Hunting Branch, YMCA (475 Lake Michigan Drive)  Training runs (several distances available) with Gazelle Sports and runGazelle.com followed by networking opportunities on race and recovery with Metro Health Sports Medicine and final foot checks with Advanced Foot & Ankle.
