5K WALK

The 5K Walk starts at 8:45 am (new time) and follows the 5K Run loop course.

This is the only event that allows baby joggers, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards and dogs. Please line up at the back of the group and be courteous to other walkers.

5K Community Walk Entry Fees and Deadlines

• Early registration closes on April 24 for mail and online entries with a non-refundable entry fee of $18 per 5K walker.
• Late registration available until May 4 online or at any Gazelle Sports’ location with a non-refundable 5K Walk fee of $28.
• Late Registration on May 8 from 11 am to 8 pm held in conjunction with the Sports & Fitness Expo and Fashion Show at DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids for $28 per 5K walker. NO REGISTRATION AVAILABLE ON MAY 9 (RACE DAY)!  Packet Pick-up will be available at DeVos Place on May 9 beginning at 6:30 am.
• Confirming registration information will be mailed to everyone submitting an entry by April 17. Registrations received after April 17 will not be mailed a confirmation. Online registration search available in February.
• Registered walkers will receive a t-shirt and post-event refreshments.
• No awards will be presented.

Choose Cotton or Wicking on Race Day
If you already have too many cotton t-shirts in your dresser drawers, this offer is for you! Select the Wicking Shirt option when you register and enclose an additional $15. You'll receive a short-sleeve Brooks "technical" shirt instead of the traditional 100% cotton t-shirt at Late Registration/Packet Pickup at DeVos Place.  Same design as the race day shirt but with a wicking fabric to pull moisture away from your skin while you run!
