Fifth Third Junior took place on Thursday, October 27 at Air Zoo in Portage with over 240 kids (ages 5-13) participating in the 1/2 mile and 1 mile fun runs. All participants received a 100% cotton t-shirt, post-event refreshments, a finisher bracelet and a voucher for a free return visit to Air Zoo. Plus, families enjoyed inflatables, face painting, tatoos and more! Maranda from WOOD TV8 kicked off the event and Cruiser from Craig's Cruisers TPA's (Travelers Protective Association) Officer Ollie and the Fifth Third River Bank Run Tortoise and Hare were there to high five kids around the race course!
Seth and Karena each was presented with a bike and helmet, courtesy of TPA, for their participation in the Feelin' Good Mileage Club. The FGMC program is a teacher-friendly, non-competitive, free-incentive based program available to schools in Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon and Van Buren counties. In 2011, 50,000 kids and 150 schools participated in the Spring and Fall. Kudos to all!

On Saturday, May 12, 2012, join thousands of other runners, walkers and rollers in making history. The Fifth Third River Bank Run will celebrate 35 years with a spectacular celebration for participants, volunteers, sponsors and the community. The 35th edition of the event will involve over 21,000 in the largest 25K race in the country, 10K, 5K Run, 5K Walk and Junior events. Don't miss out. Online registration is now open. Training will begin in November.
