10K RUN

The 10K USATF-certified race starts at 8:00 am on Saturday, May 12, 2012. For the safety of all 10K runners, baby joggers, bicycles, roller blades, skateboards and animals are not allowed in the 10K Run.

10K Run Entry Fees and Deadlines

  • Registration is $30 from October 15, 2011 through January 31, 2012; $35 from February 1 through April 27; and $40 from April 28 (online only) through May 7 and on May 11.
  • 10K registration fees for participants 12 years of age and younger as of race day, May 12, 2012, are as follows:  $20 from October 15, 2011 through January 31, 2012; $25 from February 1 through April 27; and $30 from April 28 (online only) through May 7 and on May 11.
  • Late Registration on May 11, 2012 from 11 am to 8 pm available during Late Registration/Packet Pick-up held in conjunction with the Sports & Fitness Expo and Fashion Show at the DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids (303 Monroe Avenue NW) for $40 or $30 (age 12 and under) per 10K runner. NO REGISTRATION AVAILABLE ON May 12, 2012 (RACE DAY)! Packet Pick-up will be available at DeVos Place on May 12, 2012 beginning at 6:00 am.
  • Confirming registration information will be mailed to everyone submitting an entry by April 20, 2012. Those submitting registrations after April 20, 2012 will not be mailed a confirmation. Online registration search will be available in February.

Choose a Cotton or gender-specific Technical Shirt, or Runner's Cap for Race Day

If you already have too many cotton t-shirts in your dresser drawers, this offer is for you! Select the Technical Shirt ($15 upgrade) or Runner's Cap ($8 upgrade) at time of registration. You'll receive a short sleeve, black Technical Shirt (same design as 100% white Cotton) or royal blue Runner's Cap (Fifth Third River Bank Run logo) at Late Registration/Packet Pick-up.

Clydesdale Division
Open and Masters Clydesdale divisions for males and females who indicate their preferred weight class when they register for the 25K and 10K events. Weight classes in the Open and Masters divisions are as follows:

  Class A Class B
Men 185-199 lbs 200+ lbs.
Women 145-154 lbs 155+ lbs.


Trophies will be provided for the top performers in each weight class in each division. Medals will be awarded to the top three performers in each weight class in each division.  All 10K runners will receive a t-shirt, finisher lapel pin, post-race refreshments and a free beverage ticket for the Michelob Ultra Post-Race Party Village on Calder Plaza.

10K Run Age Divisions
Age divisions for males and females are: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29,30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80+.

10K Awards
The number of awards is three deep in each age division. All awards will be mailed within 21 business days following the May 12, 2012 event.
