25K RELAY COMPETITION (NEW)
Participate in the Fifth Third River Bank Run 25K this year without running the entire 15.5 miles. Grab a couple of friends or family members and participate as a 25K Relay group on Saturday, May 11!
A 25K Relay group consists of two to three participants who will cover the entire 25K (15.5 miles) distance. Each participant will run one leg that ranges from 3 to 7 miles. Your Relay group can have as few as two members competing. However, this will require that one member must run two consecutive legs. For example, if a group has only two members, the first runner must run the first two legs of the Relay and the second runner would run the third leg.
25K RELAY CATEGORIES AND REGISTRATION
Trophies will be awarded to the first three groups in each category across the 25K finish line on Saturday, May 11.
Each Relay captain is responsible for creating and paying for the entire group through online registration. The Relay creation fee of $120 includes the individual registration fees for up to three members.

25K Relay Exchange Zones
There will be a single staging area at each Relay Exchange Zone. Volunteers will be on-site to direct Relay participants to the Exchange Zone. It is the responsibility of Relay members to know when their team member will be arriving at each Exchange Zone. This can be approximated by knowing each member's running pace (how fast they run). This will help in estimating when they will be arriving at each Exchange Zone. Water, portable restrooms and medical support will be available at both Exchange Zones.
Returning Relay Members to the Finish Area
The Exchange Zone busses will return to the Michigan St. loading zone to drop-off Relay members. Relay members should arrange for a meeting place (i.e., post race party on Calder Plaza, etc.). Relay members can also access the Post Race Refreshments area through the west gates between Post Race Refreshments and Post Race Party. To access Post Race Refreshments – participants must be wearing their bib.
The Relay member running Leg #3 will collect 25K Relay finisher gifts for the team from finish line volunteers. There is NO RELAY GROUP RUN-IN across the finish line.
